An extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti, Maasai Mara is a country of breath taking beauty, a panorama of rolling plains where the maasai derive the name Mara meaning spotted plains .Rounded hills intermittent groves of acacia woodlands and thickets of shrubs. The mara river with its luxuriant riverine forest, bisecting the whole mara with its tributaries. Endowed with an endless animal life with its vast herds of herbivores, the migrating Gnu, the accompanying Zebra, Topi, impala The Tommy Gazelle, the hartebeest, `the biggest antelope’ the Eland.The big and mighty herds of African elephant, the amphibious Hippo in the hippo pools along the river, rare black rhino, the stately maasai giraffe. The king of the jungle reigns in the plains with abandon, with many prides of lions roaming the plains and lying in the grooves. The very swift cheetah and the sly leopard not forgetting the long African crocodile in the mara river.
LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru National Park in the environs of the city of Nakuru is 188km2. It provides sanctuary to one of the largest populations of rhinos as well as the Rothschild giraffe. It’s an alkaline lake which attracts flamingos which generally feed on the gree algae that grows in this lake.
The park is home to over 450 species of birds and therefore a bird watches paradise. The park is home to all but one of the big five namely the elephant. Large herds of zebras, the African buffaloes, waterbucks and various gazelles and impalas can be spotted here with the baboon cliff and the out of Africa viewpoints you can see the whole lake and most of the beautiful scenery of rolling hills and plain surrounding the lake. There are various picnic sites and public and special camping sites for the camping enthusiast. There are also various top of the range hotels and lodges inside the park.
LAKE NAKURU LODGE

It’s located at the western side of the fringes of Lake Nakuru Park. This is a unique and authentic gem. Hidden in a grove of euphorbia caledabram and surrounded by the western plains of Lake Nakuru ecosystem and overlooking the Mau Hills. Most of the species in this habitat have been spotted from here.
